Welcome Alumni and Parents!
At the start of this new decade, we celebrate the great gifts each and every St. Andrean has been given. St. Andrew’s founders created a school in 1929 that by mission, architecture and character emphasized community, friendship, mentorship, respect among students, staff members and teachers as well as high standards of study. From our earliest days as a school, St. Andrew's believed that the most transformative form of education was one characterized by smallness, intimacy, and connection among members of the community. St. Andrew's was always intended to be a residential community, a family residing in a large yet welcoming building. Our Founders placed the School at some distance from the distractions of the world, believing that great education could be best achieved through contemplation, concentration and reflection and through the exploration of a campus flourishing with natural beauty. The best education provides learning not only from books but also from relationships--with peers and mentors in an academic community. In this holiday season, we remember the courage, grace and generosity of those who came before us, which inspire us to protect, guide and develop St. Andrew’s as a 21st century boarding school.
