Please also provide St. Andrew’s with a letter of your instruction from you to your broker (Often the broker will type up this letter for your signature or write it in the third person as documentation.) St. Andrew’s will use the date on this letter as the date of the gift and will calculate the value of the gift using the high and low price (mean price) on that date.  If a letter of instruction is not received, we will use the "transfer date" of the stock that is provided to us by Morgan Stanley.
