St. Andrew’s Graduate Co-Stars in The Lance Krall Show
Tuesday, April 05, 2005
St. Andrew’s graduate Anna Vocino '91 co-stars in SPIKE TV’s new comedy-sketch show, “The Lance Krall Show.” The show is a mix of unscripted bits and pranks including man-on-the-street segments and crank calls, most of which incorporate an arsenal of characters the cast created.
Anna had the privilege of performing at St. Andrew's under the direction of the beloved Hoover Sutton. After being a featured extra in Dead Poet’s Society during her IV Form year, Anna knew she had to act professionally. While attending Emory University in Atlanta she co-founded the acclaimed improve group Whole World Theatre, where she met Lance Krall, the creator of the show. They worked together for several years before packing up and moving to Los Angeles, where Lance led the members of the group in making a pilot of a sketch comedy show, which ultimately resulted in the first season of “The Lance Krall Show.”
“Between performing in plays and singing in the Concert Choir, St. Andrew’s provided a nuturing space for a budding performer like me. Mr. Sutton and Mr. Cheban encouraged me every step of the way,” says Anna. “Mr. Roach even allowed class performances from Shakespeare’s plays, which he fully supported until the curtain closed, even though it was a complete disaster!”
Anna is now working in voiceover, commercials, television, and independent films, and she resides in LA with her husband, fellow show regular Loren Tarquinio, and their daughter Lucy.
“The Lance Krall Show” airs on SpikeTV Mondays at 11:00 pm starting April 18th.
