Every One Counts: Annual Fund launched for year
Monday, October 24, 2005
The 2005-2006 Annual Fund appeal is in the mail to St. Andrew's alumni
around the world! The message this year is that "Every One Counts," in
the final year of Cornerstones: A Campaign for the 75th Anniversary.
Throughout the Campaign, annual giving has played an important role,
contributing more than $4.4 million so far to the Campaign's
bottom-line goal of $25 million.
Your support of the Annual Fund is a direct contribution to the daily
life of the School, lending support to the School's operating budget.
If you have not yet made a direct pledge of support to the Cornerstones
Campaign, we hope you will consider increasing, even doubling, your
Annual Fund gift this year. While considering this request, please
consider these facts:
- This year, St. Andrew's top tuition of $33,000 will fall more
than $17,000 short of the real cost of educating one student, a cost
exceeding $50,000 per student this year.
- This year's operating budget provides more than $3 million in financial aid for 45 percent of the student body.
- We will draw 4.8 percent of the endowment this year to cover over
50 percent of the operating budget. Tuition will only cover 38 percent
of our operating costs. Alumni support is critical as we attempt to
close that gap.
Click here to BE COUNTED. Thank you for your stewardship and support of educational opportunity at a School that continues to be truly unique.
